REMEMBERING

I'm experimenting with editing photos and with memory. I found a bunch of old photos which belonged to my Grandma, and the resembled an important event in her life. I originally wanted to do a mind palace idea where the faded bubbles full of memories were coming out of my grandmas head, so I tried that!

The concept of the idea was nice but I didn't turn out quite as I wanted, the head is messy. I wanted the viewer to take away the idea that the thought bubbles were coming out of her head but half ahead looks more disturbed that I would have wanted. I liked the top half the way the memories are kind of floating about.

As I didn't like the head in the first image I decided to have it coming out of an old video camera instead, so I drew it and had the memories like a projection coming out of it.
